201 Test I

No sheet of equations.

Constants and conversion factors will be provided.

You must show the instructor an empty calculator memory before the test
starts.

Any interesting material from these chapters not covered in class is a
possible bonus question.

The test will be mostly word problems with a few quiz type questions thrown
in for good measure.

Be sure you know how to add vectors (trig method). This involves finding
x and y components, adding components, finding the resultant vector.

An estimation problem will appear on the test.

A unit conversion problem will be on the test.
-
There will be a projectile problem on the test.
-
There will be several acceleration and velocity problems on the test.

Be sure you understand how to do the problems we have done in class. The
test problems won't be exactly the same but they may be similar.

Practice for the test by attempting other problems that we didn't do in
class. Check yourself by comparing your answers to answers in the study
guide, the back of the book or other students' answers. A solution manual
for your textbook is available in the library at the front desk on reserve.
