Description:


The simulation shows two current carrying wires and their magnetic field vectors. The wires either carry current towards you (out of the screen) or away from you (into the screen). The strength of the magnetic field is given in the simulation at the mouse location when you hold the mouse button down.

Question 12:

For each of the following cases determine which direction the currents flow and which wire (left or right) has the most current. Explain your reasoning.

Question 13: 

Click on the 'Three Wires' button to see a simulation of three current carrying wires. In this part you can move the wires with the mouse. Double click in the simulation to see the magnetic field lines. State the direction of current flow for each wire and explain your reasoning.
