What does our 'simple approach' require?

Hardware:

a) Two computers on the internet (any operating system).
b) Any serial port data collection device.
Example of a inexpensive student device: LabPro from Vernier Sofware.

Software:

a) TCP/IP to Serial software (free!)
b) Any software that has TCP/IP commands (Perl, VB in Excel (our free macro is available), JAVA, MathLab, etc.)
